Olwyn has always had a passion for drawing and painting, more often with the use of acrylic paints on canvas, including the use of various mediums to enhance the texture and depth of her art pieces. She enjoys painting a variety of subject matter.  

Her inspiration often comes from spontaneous thoughts, moments or encounters. An illustration of this can be found from a series of colourful abstract emu paintings inspired after seeing a mob of cheeky emus on a trip, or another from her experiences from scuba diving or from simply a connection with a moment in time.
