Ceramics

Mel is an artist who has exhibited in group and solo shows across a range of different mediums. She has predominately worked in hand-built and wheel thrown ceramics since 2006.

Her practice explores the creation of forms which depict the natural qualities of clay and the alchemy of the firing process. The natural environment and surrounds inspires her work. She works in series and repetition, currently making functional ware. Allowing the time to explore the subtle evolution of form and embodying quiet beauty found in everyday utilitarian objects.
