Kjerstin Bjelland
Weaving
Originally from Norway, Kjerstin is a self-taught weaver developing her skills and making beautifully woven creations since 2008. To extend her skills and expand her ‘library’ of threads Kjerstin also learned to spin. Kjerstin uses mainly natural yarns like wool, alpaca, silk, cotton, and linen. She loves playing with colour and texture, and also rather than intricate patterns.
At her home studio in Walliston Kjerstin has three large countermarch floor looms and a table loom. Her table loom will be relocated and operating while she is the guest artist at Silvana’s studio.
