Glenda’s work has beauty that is steeped in the lived experience. It is tinged with sadness and love, a master of technique from another time running parallel with life and location. Stitch, light and texture are taken and used to express emotions - marks of history woven and dyed to become the ephemeral beauty of cloth.
Creative work has been in her since childhood, appearing when time allows. Now she works from her beloved studio surrounded by bush, feeding and informing the soul, allowing thoughts from the past to emerge and transcend to a cathartic practice of deliberately placed work.
