The gentle sounds of the shuttle passing along the shuttle race between the warp yarn, or the silence of sitting and slowly stitching rhythmically on soft silk are moments that Glenda relishes in-between working full time and the constraints of domestic duties.
These treasured moments allow for deep thought and she treasures what comes from these moments, be they commercial or a form of textile art. The environment in all its forms, be it sea, rugged cliffs or lush greenery, is what informs these textiles. Her love of both the land and textiles shows.
